Super similes

Eagle similes from Jordanas poetry book
This week we are looking at writing similes.
We are trying to use similes to make our writing more interesting,
and add more meaning to what we are writing.
We have been writing similes about eagles.

Zane wrote "The eagles has an eye sight like a radar detector."

Emily said "The eagles beak is as pointy and hard as nails."

Jordana wrote "As the eagle soars through the air it is as if it has jet engines concealed in it's wings"

Caleb.O said "The birds razor sharp claws clings to the rugged rock like a baby clinging to its mum."

These are fantastic similes, can you think of any that have not already been mentioned?

  9. The eagle dives as fast as a meteorite.
It also dive as silent as an owl in the night.

It's beak is like a spear.
This is why it has no fear.

    It eyes are like telescopes.
    It see's what it may
    From 5 miles away

The eagle is the leader of birds of prey
This is how it will stay.
