Reading activities

This week students could choose what they were interested in reading about, either cultural sports, tapa cloths, flax weaving or ANZAC biscuits. After reading the text, they had hands on activities to complete. Here is a look at how their activities went...
Following instructions to make a flax flower

Jay and Matt trying to make the flax fish

Trying to make colours from natural resources

More flax weaving

Keyle and Bronte giving instructions on how to play this adapted Aboriginal Australian game
Originally this game was designed to help Aboriginal women learn how to protect their babies
