Surviving Antarctica

This term we are looking at Surviving in the Antarctica.
We will be looking at how animals and humans,
adapt to survive in this ecosystem and
what they do to sustain this environment.

  3. The picture is showing 'Scott Base' which is a New Zealand facility that provides accomadation and services for the many research groups that we send there to find out various things about Antarctica. It is located on Ross Island which is within our portion of Antarctica.

    I think this is going to be such a cool topic and I can't wait to get into it!!!

  4. I looked up on google what the picture means and this is what I found:

    Scott Base is a research facility located in Antarctica and is operated by New Zealand. It was named after Captain Robert Falcon Scott, Royal Navy leader of two British expeditions to the Ross Sea area of Antarctica. It was set up as support to field research and the centre for research into earth sciences, but now conducts research in many fields.
