Room 2's Child Labour display in Richmond Mall

Today Room 2 went to the Richmond Mall to raise awareness about Child Labour and raise money for the Free the Children Fund, by selling wallets made from juice box wallets.
They did a fantastic job talking to all the people and motivating them to make a donation or buy a wallet.

We raised over $300 and still have about 20 wallets to sell at school tomorrow. Next term we will be donating the money online.

I have been so impressed with everyones hard work, and the empathy you have shown throughout this unit, you should all be very proud of yourselves, as I am!!

Here is a short video of some photos from the mall, let me know what you thought of this experience.

  2. We raised so much money to help stop child labour. I didn't think we would raise around $100 in donations! Did you manage to sell all the rest of the wallets at school today?
