What am I? Poems

Can you guess what they are???

What am I?
I write down your notes and your deep secrets
but I won't tell,
just make sure to use your neatness.
What am I?
By Evelyn

What am I?
My engine makes me go fast.
I am mostly carried on trailers.
I can tow you and you can have a blast.
When I am zooming, I zoom past sailers.
What am I?
By Paxon

What am I?
I spin and spring and run and fall,
I have tried it all.
What am I?
By Josh

What am I?
I am small.
I bounce.
I am round.
I'm about an ounce.
What am I?

Neuron building

Today we learnt about the structure of a neuron and how they work in our brains. If there are billions of them in our brain, we better know a bit about them right?!!
It was much clearer when we started building them with pipe cleaners.
Tomorrow's challenge is to label them.

Swimming success

Friday was our annual swimming sports competition day, and what a successful day everyone had. I was so pleased to see everyone involved and participating in some way.
Tu Tangata had a very rewarding 1st place finish in the team relay, a big thank you to Paxon, Lily and Makenna who represented our class.
The team spirit was high, and I enjoyed the dancing in between races, a very successful day!!

Our amazing swimming team that won the relay!!

Childhood confessions

We received a school kit writing project that we are doing for a buddy class in Auckland. This week we sorted the puzzle and read the clues with our special glasses.
Then we wrote "This is just to say" Poems, which are a parody to the poem written by William Carlos Williams.
Can you find your child's confession??

Individual Tri

Many of our students participated in the individual triathlon!!!

Paxon came first place and Evelyn came 3rd.

Congratulations to all the students involved and good luck to those who are participating in the inter school champs.
