Today we also were selling cupcakes to raise money for the SPCA. Here is Meg selling her amazing cupcakes.
We are a Year 8 class from Waimea Intermediate School, which is in Nelson, New Zealand. We hope you enjoy reading our blog.

Preschool visit
Today we visited First Years Preschool today to celebrate the end of our learning about Matariki. This was postponed from last term, and we were excited to finally be able to go. It started with a waiata and then the students goal was to communicate effectively with young people to complete weaving a sea creature.
Below are some photos from our visit.

Showcase
"Showquest is the new national music, dance and drama showcase for schools, organised by Rockquest Promotions, replacing Stage Challenge.
Students chose to create performances around themes that were important to them, such as war, body image and ocean pollution." Read the whole stuff link here
Hannah was a major part of our showcase, as she choreographed the main "pollution" dance, as well as participating in the dance. Ella was also a turtle dancer, and unfortunately Nikita was injured and unable to dance on the night. Savanna was the lighting and music specialist. It was an amazing performance, and I was lucky to go along and watch, here are a few snips from there dance...
