Interclass EndBall

On Monday, Room 2 played a game of End ball against room 11. We had a great game and tried our hardest but unfortunately their defense was too good for us, and we lost, 25-13. At half time we were down by 4 points then we picked up our game but sadly so did they. It was a tricky game, but we just lost it to a few bad passes. The refs had to make some tough calls, and they did a good job. Written by Greer and Ryan Check out this video Jaeger made of how we went, and let us know what you think!

3 Different types of Volcanoes

We found out information about the cone volcano, we found out that their lave is thin and runny and sets quickly. They can also be found underwater. An example of a cone volcano is Mt Fuji, in Japan.
We looked at the Caldera volcano, we found out their shape is like a oval dish, a hole in the ground.
We found out information about Caldera volcanoes, we learnt that when it explodes the volcano blows itself up to make a crater. An example of a Caldera volcano is Lake Taupo and Lake Rotorua

Our group looked at the shield Volcano, we found out they have very little gas and they contain lots of basalt rocks.
We looked at the shield volcano. We learnt that the lava that comes out of a shield volcano is fast flowing.

Volcanoes!!

This week we are looking into Volcanoes, it would be nice to go right inside one, but for now we will just research them. We will be looking at the different types of Vocanic rocks, and how they change, and tell us stories about the past. We will be writing an explanation about how a volcano erupts. Then we will look at the positive and negative affects of volcanic eruptions, and what to do if one erupts. I hope we get time to look into different eruptions that have happened.

What questions do you have about Volcanoes??
